Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ashley is the daughter of Haitian immigrants. With little education, her parents struggled to access employment and housing opportunities. Seeing her parents struggle motivated Ashley to create a better life for herself and her family. She was the first in her family to earn Bachelors and Masters degrees and with the help of Greenline she is now the first in her family to own a home.
She says, “I’ve not only accomplished my dreams but I did not allow the struggles and hard work of my parents go in vain. In a sense, my dreams were a reflection of my parents’ dreams of building a better life for themselves and their family.”
