Jonathan and Sandy

Building a legacy for their family for generations to come.

Jonathan and Sandy

Jonathan and Sandy are both products of proud, strong Mexican immigrant families that established themselves in the Los Angeles area years ago. Jonathan grew in the church as both of his parents were pastors. The churches they pastored always provided housing for them which was a blessing. However, they never bought a home to call their own. Sandy’s family was able to save up and purchase a home. Sadly, they lost the home in the housing crash in 2007.

Jonathan and Sandy dreamed of owning their own home where they could raise their two sons and provide a place of stability and comfort not only for their family but also for their community. They worked extremely hard to save and with the assistance of Greenline, they were able to make that dream into a reality in 2023.

Sandy says, “Homeownership is a dream come true. It means we get to have a space to gather with people and have community. We will open our doors for celebrations and for times of grieving. It also means a space where my children get to have their own safe space and have the freedom to be creative. My husband and I are the only homeowners in both of our families and we hope to create generational change that leaves a legacy for both of our boys’ future.”
