Kiara

Serving her community and creating an inviting place where people feel loved.

Kiara

Kiara, a native of Long Beach, California, is an occupational therapist in the Long Beach Unified School District helping children with special needs. In addition to her work at the school district, Kiara volunteers with anti-sex trafficking organizations and at her church as a young adult leader.

She came into occupational therapy work after seeing her mother work in the same field and foster children with disabilities. Her mother eventually bought a home in Long Beach but was victimized by predatory loans and thus, wasn’t able to help Kiara with the purchase of her first home.

Instead, Greenline stepped in as that family member to help Kiara with the downpayment to purchase her first home. Homeownership for Kiara means leaving a legacy of generational wealth for her future family and to open her home up to continue to minister to youth and women in her church. She says, “I want my home to be an inviting place where people feel loved.”
