Leslie and her four siblings bounced around quite a bit growing up. She was born in Connecticut then moved to Puerto Rico and finally landed in Southern California. As an adult, she has endured quite a bit of adversity from being a single parent herself to divorce to a failed business venture. But through it all, Leslie has found a way to persevere and reinvent herself. She has spent the past 10 years saving and preparing to one day purchase a home.
Recently, with the help of a $40,000 down payment grant from Greenline, Leslie was able to do just that. Homeownership for her is a great personal accomplishment and a sense of stability. She finally feels at home.
