Patrice was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland by a single mother. Growing up, she worked hard in school and was on her way to earning a college degree when she became pregnant at the age of 20. Being a single mother herself, she had to drop out and focus on raising her daughter and providing for her. Five years later, she was able to return to college and earn an associates degree followed by a bachelors degree and from there she just kept furthering her education earning two Masters degrees. Recently, Greenline was able to award her with a downpayment grant so she could purchase her first home for her and her daughter. She says, “I have moved my daughter and I around Baltimore County a lot in her 14 years. I want to provide us with peace and stability. I want to leave her something behind and create a gateway to potentially build wealth for my daughter.”
