Cory was born in East Texas but moved to Stockton, California as a kid. His parents got divorced and he bounced around from apartment to apartment and from parent to parent making for a tough upbringing in a lot of ways. Cory’s own childhood inspired him to become an educator and help provide stability, mentorship, and hope for others. He’s been an educator in his school district for 28 years now impacting the lives of so many kids. He says homeownership for him and his wife has been a dream that felt unattainable despite their hard work and education, but with a down payment grant from Greenline, Cory and his family were recently able to make the dream of homeownership a reality.
