Gloria was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. She got married and gave birth to three children in Bakersfield before moving to Sacramento to work for the state. In 2020, she retired and moved back home to Bakersfield. Having rented all of her life she found herself in a position last year where the house she was renting was sold and she had to quickly find another place to live. Not wanting to leave where she lives in the hands of others, she began to pursue homeownership and applied for a down payment grant from Greenline. She was recently awarded a $38,000 down payment grant making it possible for her to purchase in her hometown and have a place for her 10 grandkids to come and visit. Congratulations, Gloria!
