Lisa was born and raised in Gurnee, Illinois by a single mother who worked two jobs to support Lisa and her three siblings. At one point, they had to move into a motel because they got evicted. When Lisa was a teenager, her mom remarried and they moved to the Los Angeles area. Things were still tight financially but they had a roof over their heads. With the help of Greenline, Lisa is now a proud homeowner but hasn’t forgotten where and what she came from. She regularly volunteers and helps those that are housing insecure at Union Rescue Mission and is setting an example for her niece that homeownership in Los Angeles can be attainable for her as well.
